About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Technician III supports electrical maintenance and troubleshooting activities across field and control system environments. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving electrical equipment performance, supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and assisting with the operation and monitoring of power distribution and control systems. The position may work in both field and control room settings and requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support high-voltage and SCADA-based systems.

Requirements

  • Electrical technician or I&E experience required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience with electrical systems
  • Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High-voltage (HV) power transmission and distribution experience preferred
  • Experience with SCADA or control systems (Ignition, Wonderware, GE, ABB, AspenTech, etc.) preferred
  • Electrical Dispatch or control room experience is a plus
  • Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (I&E) experience preferred
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance on equipment such as motors, lighting systems, and HVAC units
  • Support and execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for safe equipment isolation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical system failures and perform corrective actions
  • Assemble, test, and modify electrical equipment, control systems, and circuitry based on engineering specifications
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency
  • Record maintenance data and recommend repair or replacement of faulty equipment
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians on complex electrical issues
  • Support operations involving high-voltage power transmission and distribution systems
  • Monitor and interact with SCADA and control systems in both field and control room environments
  • Communicate system conditions and recommend solutions clearly to supervisors and team members
  • Adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and operational needs
