About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead for its Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) division. TRS focuses on building highly capable autonomous drones and solid rocket motors at scale. This role involves leading a technical team through the entire lifecycle of R&D and prototype design for new drones and rocket motor systems, with the goal of transitioning these to production ramp-up. The position requires a passion for rapid prototyping, iterative development, and scalability to support defense initiatives for the US and its allies. The team is growing with new product launches, scalability opportunities, and technology development advancements.

Requirements

  • Lab-based prototyping / research and development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating mixed signal circuits.
  • Proficiency with Altium or equivalent ECAD tools.
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Experience working on products used in extreme environments (aerospace, defense, etc.).
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ownership of unit and subsystem level payloads or products.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
  • Systems engineering and architectural trade experience with payloads or products.
  • Proficiency with embedded software and firmware (C/Linux is a plus).
  • Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment (human in the loop).
  • Knowledge of software protocols for embedded development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a technical team through concept to flight delivery for R&D/prototype design with a goal to transition to product line ramp up to production of new drones, rocket motor systems, and more.
  • Guide the team through architecture trades, board design, implementation, troubleshooting and validation, supporting system level integration, flight test, and customer deliveries.
  • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
  • Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
