Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
  • Comfortable working with engineering software, data analysis tools, and technical documentation.
  • Interest in power systems and industrial applications.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems, support troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to engineering projects in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance both fieldwork and office-based tasks.
  • Enrolled in an ABET-accredited BS Engineering degree.
  • Valid Alaska driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support power generation projects by assisting with system troubleshooting, electrical design documentation, and equipment inspections.
  • Analyze technical issues, gather field data, and contribute to engineering studies such as efficiency improvements and system performance.
  • Assist with project research, preliminary designs, and system analysis (voltage, fault, coordination) while working alongside engineers and plant staff.
  • Perform a mix of hands-on fieldwork and office-based engineering support in an industrial plant environment.
