About The Position
Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027! The intern will work under the direct supervision of Electrical Engineers and be exposed to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, key electrical engineering techniques and processes. This role will also provide exposure to projects related to facilities design and construction management from inception through delivery, often involving multi-disciplinary civil, mechanical, and electrical work.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as a sophomore or junior status
- Proficient in MSOffice suite
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and develop professionally
- Ability to work extra hours and possible overtime when projects demand
- Willingness to travel up to 20% depending on project needs
Responsibilities
- Work on multiple assignments; work independently; communicate and interface effectively while working in a team environment
- Assist engineers and CAD Designers with completing project design documentation, calculations, research, CAD drawings and/or reports
- Assist engineers in developing standard operational department procedures and drawing standards and details
- Assist project engineers and CAD Designers in preparing project cost estimates, reports and design documents
- Assist engineers in preparation of final reports, department procedures, techniques and standards
