Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an Electrical Engineering Internship located in New Freedom, PA. This internship is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience with meaningful technical contributions. You will work closely with experienced electrical engineers while gaining exposure to real-world product development, testing, and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a four-year accredited college or university
  • Broad technical foundation in: Electrical engineering, Mechanical design principles, Control systems development
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision
  • Authorized to work in the United States full-time without restriction during the internship

Responsibilities

  • Support lead electrical engineers with tasks such as: Component and part qualification, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design, Test box design, build, and validation, Engineering analysis and system testing, Proof-of-concept and final system testing support
  • Perform routine engineering tasks under close supervision using established standards, procedures, and work instructions
  • Assist in the development and documentation of: Standard operating procedures, Design standardization efforts, Engineering change notices (ECNs)
  • Apply predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to complete assigned job duties accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Complete additional responsibilities and learning opportunities as assigned
