About The Position
Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale. Our flagship Cape Station development in Milford, Utah is one of the largest next-generation geothermal developments in the world, and our Houston headquarters houses the engineering, commercial, and corporate teams driving Fervo's growth. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you'll dig into the electrical systems that power Fervo's Powerblock modules, supporting schematic reviews, equipment sizing, and code compliance work as our engineering team designs and builds out next-generation geothermal infrastructure.
Requirements
- Rising Junior, Senior, or Master's candidate wrapping up within the next year
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges
- Software: Microsoft Suite / ETAP / SKM / AutoCAD
Nice To Haves
- Electrical Engineering or similar degrees preferred
- Interest in industrial electrical systems design
- Master’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Support electrical engineering scope across Powerblock modules
- Assist with design review and technical documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams as needed
