About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Electrical Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to complex design challenges. In this hands-on role, you’ll gain experience across the full hardware development lifecycle while working closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • A basic understanding of high-speed digital and analog circuitry, power management, and electromagnetic interference.
  • General knowledge of both conventional manufacturing techniques and advanced manufacturing
  • This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations. You may only access such information if you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. government.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or knowledge of electronic schematic software tools, such as Allegro design entry HDL or Mentor Graphics DXDesigner
  • General knowledge or experience in the use of digital test equipment such as digital meters, spectrum analyzer or oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering rework equipment to execute lab design verification test (DVT) and debug.
  • Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment

Responsibilities

  • Work with experienced electrical engineers to support hardware design, development, integration, and testing
  • Assist senior engineers in creating or updating schematics
  • Support the generation or revision of test procedures
  • Support board bring-up activities, including drafting test plans and documenting test results
  • Perform board bring-up activities
  • Generate test reports
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
