Requirements
- Rising Junior or Senior.
- Fundamental knowledge of protection and control schemes.
- Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the Nucor team, focusing on achieving exceptional results in the areas of safety, cost, and reliability.
- Be hands-on and interactive with the maintenance and production teams in the field.
- Learn power distribution, process control, and process fundamentals involved in steel making.
- Engage in maintenance/engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability.
- Participate in preventive & predictive maintenance programs and routines.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and process related issues.
- Learn and apply new skills in system troubleshooting, power quality, and power transmission within the steel making processes.
