About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in Plymouth, Minnesota, supporting defense customer programs. The requisition may be filled at the Electrical Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 3) level, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications. The engineer applies a broad electrical engineering skillset to the design and development of military systems, spanning concept development, detailed design, analysis, and verification of electronics for demanding defense environments. The work includes research and development of power conditioning electronics, analog and digital circuits, FPGA/ASIC designs, and other electrical systems. The engineer uses CAD and simulation tools to predict circuit performance and optimize designs, develops schematics and specifications, selects components, and oversees printed wiring board design. The role involves collaboration on product development teams, consideration of system-level dependencies and constraints, and application of Design for Six Sigma practices, including design for assembly and design for manufacturing where applicable.
