The Turlock Irrigation District is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join their Power Plant Engineering team. This role is crucial for conceptualizing, evaluating, budgeting, designing, constructing, and closing out capital improvement and maintenance projects to support the District's mission of providing reliable and competitively priced water and electric service. The engineer will contribute to expanding generation and storage capacity, addressing aging infrastructure for life extension, and modernizing current assets. The District manages a diverse generation fleet of thermal and renewable assets and aims to add more resources to meet carbon emission goals. The position also involves supporting the internal Dam Safety division by reviewing and interpreting data, and planning/designing instrumentation, controls, and power supply projects for critical dam facilities, including New Don Pedro Dam. The role involves performing professional electrical engineering work across all phases of the District's electric operations.
