About The Position

This is a critical role supporting the OCT product line, primarily focused on sustaining engineering activities and addressing end-of-life components for legacy products. The position requires a hands-on electrical engineer who can quickly contribute to electrical and electronic design efforts and provide technical guidance on complex projects. The role is non-supervisory and involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical/electronic design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Altium is required.
  • Ability to work independently and quickly integrate into ongoing projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent documentation practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline required, along with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree accepted with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Electrical Engineer I to assist in development and sustaining engineering projects within the Electrophysiology division at Clients.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Computer Science or Biomedical degree okay as long as the candidate also has EE experience.
  • Able to work cross functionally, independently, and as part of a team.
  • Looking for a self-starter with a focus on troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
  • Understanding of schematics and how the components of a circuit function.
  • Proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Knowledge of the common failure modes of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Ability to design, build, and assemble prototype circuits for test fixtures.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device experience would be ideal but not required.
  • Internship experience is also fine but would like to see professional experience first.
  • Masters in EE okay with an internship.

Responsibilities

  • May conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
  • Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.
  • May act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on most complex projects.
  • This is a non-supervisory position.
  • Participates on engineering teams in completing development projects.
  • Leads small-scale design change efforts in support of continuation engineering activities.
  • Completes system, analog, digital, and firmware designs.
  • Troubleshooting and failure analysis of electronic circuits, both analogue and digital.
  • Document quality issues and performance measures for management review. May liaise with external vendors.
