About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer for the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract, supporting the IDAP Division. The incumbent will serve as a senior electrical engineer in the field of airborne instrumentation systems integration for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, Redstone Test Center.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty.
• 9+ yrs experience in aircraft/aircraft systems/aircraft instrumentation (e.g., flight control, displays, radar, communication/navigation, airframe) testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
• Ability to create or modify Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) data streams.
• Working knowledge of programming numerical systems such as Binary, Hexadecimal, Octal, etc.
• Working knowledge of how to interface with, and record data from, military aviation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Planning, execution, real-time data quality monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for developmental and/or operational tests of system integrations on various aviation weapon system platforms.
• Contributing to and documenting flight operations and flight test developments.
