About The Position

Vertiv is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of electrical system design from medium/low voltage switchboard down to the IT Rack. This role involves preparing electrical schematics, 2D & 3D models, performing load calculations, and generating technical documentation. The engineer will apply international, national, and internal standards to ensure designs are safe, compliant, and cost-effective, integrating good engineering practices throughout the process. The position requires active participation in project meetings and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architectural, structural, mechanical, manufacturing, and site engineers. Responsibilities also include supporting the review of workshop documentation and supplier RFQs, specifying materials and certifications, providing technical support during fabrication and assembly, and collaborating with site managers, manufacturing, quality control, and commissioning engineers to resolve electrical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or acceptable experience
  • 0-5 years of electrical engineering experience
  • Proficient in any 3D modeling like Revit, Autocad, EPLAN
  • Knowledge of data center electrical equipment: low voltage switchboard / switchgear, UPS, distribution design, installation, and use
  • Understanding of current National Electrical Code
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, organization, flexibility, and strong team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of electrical system design from medium/low voltage switchboard down to the IT Rack.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, 2D & 3D models, perform load calculations, and generate technical documentation such as equipment specifications, system architecture, workshop drawings, test requirements.
  • Apply international, national, and internal standards, ensuring that all designs are safe, compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Integrate good engineering practices into every stage of the design process.
  • Actively participate in project kick-off and coordination meetings, and engage with cross-functional teams including architectural, structural, mechanical, manufacturing, and site engineers to ensure a cohesive project execution.
  • Support the review and technical approval of workshop documentation and supplier RFQs.
  • Specify materials, services, and necessary certifications for project execution.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication and assembly.
  • Collaborate with site managers, manufacturing, quality control, and commissioning engineers to resolve electrical issues and ensure safe and efficient implementation.
