About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s EE degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in a related field
  • Regarded as the technical expert in power distribution
  • Minimum working knowledge but ideally well versed in of relevant standards i.e. NFPA70, NFPA79, Semi S2, S22, F47 and UL508A etc.
  • Understanding or experience working with power control designs and applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with major electrical components used in power distribution designs and ability to troubleshoot them as required
  • Fast learner, owns outcomes, and leads by example
  • Ability to effectively work on more than one project
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills; Determined to root cause isolation; Hands-on
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor equipment industry experience is a plus but is not required
  • Background in power quality is preferred
  • Masters’s EE degree
  • Ability to navigate Applied Materials product development life cycle
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects
  • Extensive hands-on experience working on semiconductor equipment

Responsibilities

  • Implement concepts for variety of complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scope
  • Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope
  • Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervision
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision in lab and customer fab environment.
  • Technically lead and/or executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliers
  • Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervision
  • Specify and review engineering documentation
