Electrical Engineer
About The Position
CSAT Solutions emphasizes that outstanding people are key to their success and is seeking a highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit for the role of Electrical Engineer. This position is for their computer repair operations. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for evaluating electrical systems, developing production and automation processes, designing and modifying equipment, and developing new production tools. They will also confirm system capabilities through testing, maintain equipment, support engineering technicians, manage project communications, and lead cross-functional projects to improve processes and reduce costs. The role requires meeting ISO 9001 and other quality system requirements.
Requirements
- Candidates must be local to the Greater Houston area to be considered, as this is an onsite role
- BS in Electrical/Electronic or a related field
- 3 years of relevant work experience related to embedded systems or PCB design
- 1 year of programming experience, such as Python, C++, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Electronic system testing, design, and troubleshooting
- Strong focus on quality
- Strong project management skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications through own observations and soliciting the same from operators
- Develops production and automation processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and other related processes.
- Develops new production tools and equipment by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Confirms system and component capabilities by designing and implementing testing methods.
- Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer ’s instructions and established procedures, scheduling preventive maintenance and requesting repair service.
- Supports engineering technicians and activities related computer repair services
- Supports project communications, including creation of status reports and summaries on product data, internal & external KPIs, identifies & implements key actions to improve KPIs
- May lead cross-functional functional projects that results in measurable process improvement & cost reductions
- Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
- Other duties as assigned
