In this role, you will lead Electrical design for industrial water/wastewater projects across various industries including Data Centers, Semiconductor, Mining, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Power, and Oil & Gas. You will provide technical guidance, serve as a technical expert in electrical power distribution, support business development, build client relationships, conduct construction inspections, coordinate with utilities, review submittals, act as a liaison between design teams and clients, and perform startup and testing of major electrical equipment. Continuous learning and development of technical expertise are also key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate is located in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City, Phoenix, Raleigh, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, or Houston Metropolitan areas. As part of BV Operations, your skills will align with projects supporting the Industrial Water business, which provides innovative solutions for mission-critical facilities and threat reduction worldwide. This team partners with customers to modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset use, meet performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate initiative and leadership, demonstrate an ability to mentor and coach others, and have the judgment and confidence to work independently with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dynamic/adaptable/flexible candidate that understands alternative delivery models such as EPC, FEL/FEED, Design-Build, and Services.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer’s license in a US jurisdiction and can obtain reciprocity in any US state.
  • 5-8 years in industrial water electrical design, planning and construction services
  • Experience with developing execution processes, standards, and training
  • Consulting and Industrial Water/Wastewater experience preferred
  • Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators
  • Experience in a client-facing/business development role
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical design for industrial water/wastewater projects, which includes Data Centers, Semiconductor, Mining, Food and Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Power, Oil & Gas industries.
  • Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff that are supporting project detailed design.
  • Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations.
  • Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
  • Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
  • Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
  • Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
  • Review of supplier submittals.
  • Act as a liaison between the design team, client and remote design teams for electrical design.
  • Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.
  • Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area.
