About The Position

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Electrical Engineer position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Anaheim, CA for a duration of 2+ Years. The Electrical Engineer contractor will support the technical design, review, and field work, but will not act as Owner's Technical Representative or Engineer of Record. Reports to the Manager or Sr. Manager, Engineering, Architecture & Facilities Engineering (or delegate).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design; facility-related electrical systems experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, not required.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
  • Lighting design and implementation experience, with certification.
  • Title 24, UL, and general code experience.
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with theme parks, hospitality, resort, or entertainment facilities.
  • SKM or similar arc-flash/coordination software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical electrical engineering support on Resort projects from concept through construction and sustainment.
  • Apply engineering guidance consistent with the Master Design Specifications and other Design requirements.
  • Provide informal technical mentorship to junior contract engineers, interns, or designers as needed.
  • Confer with Engineering staff on unusual, sensitive, or high-risk matters.
  • Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work for compliance with specifications and code requirements.
  • Support development of project scopes, engineering studies, and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Develop workload estimates and critical-path schedule input to support the project management team.
  • Manage design and development of contract documents with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Review drawings, engineering calculations, and specifications to ensure code and statute compliance.
  • Review shop drawing submittments and respond to vendor Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Perform site visits to troubleshoot field issues and minimize schedule impacts.
  • Support electrical system design, implementation, and sustainment across low- through medium-voltage systems.
  • Apply familiarity with the California Electrical Code, IEEE electrical guidance (Brown, Buff, and Red Books), and the California Energy Code (Title 24).
  • Apply expertise in short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis (e.g., SKM or comparable software) as needed.
  • Partner with Internal teams to apply and maintain design guidelines, standards, and specifications.
  • Support Project and Design Managers in resolving design compliance issues.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
