About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in the construction industry, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power distribution and generation. Your expertise will contribute to the planning and implementation of high voltage electrical infrastructure projects, including protective relay coordination and power system analysis. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical engineering solutions into construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role demands a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing electrical systems to enhance performance and safety. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience working with protective relays and power system design in a construction or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of power generation, distribution, and high voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to construction projects.
• Proficiency in electrical engineering software tools used for system analysis and design.
• Expertise in protective relays and power systems are essential for designing and safeguarding electrical infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability and safety.
• Knowledge of power distribution and generation allows you to develop efficient electrical layouts that meet project demands and regulatory standards.
• High voltage experience is critical for handling complex electrical networks and mitigating risks associated with electrical hazards.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals underpin your ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with SCADA systems and automation in power distribution.
• Advanced knowledge of renewable energy integration within power systems.
• Project management experience in large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related specialization.
• SCADA familiarity and project management enhance your capability to oversee system automation and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and implement electrical power systems for construction projects, including power generation, distribution, and high voltage systems.
• Develop and coordinate protective relay schemes to safeguard electrical equipment and ensure system reliability.
• Perform power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct site inspections and testing to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and specifications for electrical systems and components.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases to resolve electrical issues promptly.
