Electrical Engineer

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. GTI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems for modular infrastructure projects. This role develops electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring documentation, and production-ready electrical designs supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems (GenSets), Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, and other custom engineered solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience developing electrical schematics and engineering documentation
- Experience with electrical CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
- Understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and controls
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems, Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, or similar equipment
- Experience with switchgear, motor control, PLC systems, UPS systems, generators, transformers, or industrial controls
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Background in fabrication-heavy or contract manufacturing environments
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems supporting modular infrastructure and industrial equipment
- Develop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules
- Support integration of switchgear, transformers, generators, batteries, UPS systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project teams
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and basic electrical analysis
- Develop production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing and integration
- Support compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer specifications
- Participate in engineering design reviews and continuous product improvements
- Support prototype builds, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Work with manufacturing teams to resolve electrical design and production issues
- Support engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives
