About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving electrical equipment and control systems to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable production operations while adhering to applicable electrical codes and standards. This role supports the development, manufacturing, and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, and consumer protection products within a leading specialty chemicals company.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Strong computer skills including: SAP, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD or similar drawing software and Explosion Protection and Arc Flash Software
<5 years experience - Jr. Engineer
5-10 years experience - Mid-level Engineer
>10 years experience - Sr. Engineer

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred for senior level Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in production machinery and control systems
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
Interpret and apply relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC) in system design and maintenance, ensuring site is compliant
Develop and maintain electrical documentation, schematics, and procedures
Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment
Collaborate with Process Control Engineers and Technicians to maintain and improve PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability (Senior Electrical Engineer)
Act as the Project Engineer for Capex improvements to electrical distribution system (Senior Electrical Engineer)
