Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Charging Systems team in our Mossville, IL facility. In this role, you will work within a structured team to support field issue resolution, perform end-of-line testing, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and update designs and component selections as needed for compliance and functionality. This is an exciting opportunity to do hands-on, cutting-edge work in electrification within a fast-paced development environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • A two-year degree with 10+ years of directly relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Internship experience may be counted toward the required years of experience.
  • Comparable backgrounds include Charging System Engineer or similar roles in power electronics and EV charging systems.
  • Hands-on experience with converter/inverter prototyping, test benches, and debugging.
  • Experience with standards and compliance (UL, IEC, ISO) for power electronics systems.
  • Strong understanding of DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters, magnetics, and control algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with converter/inverter prototyping, test benches, and hardware debugging.
  • Working knowledge of applicable standards and compliance requirements (UL, IEC, ISO) for power electronics systems.
  • Strong understanding of DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters, magnetics, and control algorithms.
  • Proficiency in using lab instruments and data acquisition tools.
  • Strong communication skills — ability to clearly convey technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking — skilled at diagnosing complex system issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and teamwork — comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams alongside mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the product support team to troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to charger systems.
  • Collaborate with electricians on charger rework activities.
  • Perform End of Line (EOL) testing on chargers to validate performance and compliance.
  • Update designs and component selections as needed to address compliance requirements, functionality improvements, and feature additions.
  • Work with the control team on charger field issue resolution; review telematics data from the charger fleet.
  • Draft test plans for additional feature validation and new charger validation activities.
  • Make design changes as needed and oversee drawing releases through the appropriate release process.
