About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Technician – Cable Fabrication to join their team in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be a member of a highly motivated team providing hardware/software development, integration, and test support to the Systems Simulation, Software, and Integration (S3I) Directorate.

Requirements

• Electrical Technician – Cable Fabrication experience
• Experience with hardware/software development, integration, and test support.
• Experience with special purpose electronics and cabling of launch vehicles, communications platforms, and rocket systems.
• Experience with circuit design, analysis, simulation and component selection.
• Experience with initial build of prototype printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
• Experience building complex tactical cables with heat shrink jackets.
• Basic electronics engineering knowledge and practical experience in Cable/Harness Assembly to Class 3, Prototype layout and assembly of boards, Assemble quick turn test assets.
• Familiarity with Circular military connectors, wire and PCB components.
• Experience supporting lab functions including military vehicle testing, building test assets, class 3 tactical cables, and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Support of development, testing, and integration of special purpose electronics and cabling of launch vehicles, communications platforms, and rocket systems.
• Perform circuit design, analysis, simulation and component selection according to electrical/electronic hardware requirements.
• Perform initial build of prototype printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
• Build complex tactical cables with heat shrink jackets.
• Apply basic electronics engineering knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Cable/Harness Assembly to Class 3, Prototype layout and assembly of boards, Assemble quick turn test assets.
• Familiar with Circular military connectors, wire and PCB components.
• Support all lab functions including military vehicle testing, building test assets, class 3 tactical cables, and precision measurement.
