About The Position

Tetra Tech is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the construction of a Power Plant Remediation Project (PPRP) at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. This project is designed to address critical operational inefficiencies within the facility's power generation rooms, specifically insufficient airflow and excessive heat buildup. The goal is to optimize air circulation, reduce thermal stress on machinery, and enhance the overall efficiency and sustainability of the power plant. This role requires a US Government Secret Security Clearance and a minimum commitment of 1 year, with the project expected to last 24-36 months. Uplifts include Post Differential and Danger Pay.

Requirements

  • US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
  • US Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7 years construction experience
  • Current US PE license can substitute for degree
  • ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor’s or US PE

Responsibilities

  • Provide NEC project with full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, technical oversight.
  • Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor construction contractor's quality control program, and review project drawings to ensure compliance.
  • Observe onsite construction and determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.
  • Monitor construction progress with regard to project schedule and submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections.
