About The Position

Vantage Mobility is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their engineering team in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of electrical systems used in mobility vehicle platforms, including power systems, embedded controls, and integrated vehicle electronics. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in working within regulated, safety-critical product environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
  • Strong experience with analog and digital circuit design
  • Strong experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Strong experience with power electronics and motor control systems
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks & ECAD tools
  • Experience reading and creating wiring harness drawings and schematics
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical architectures (12V/24V systems preferred)
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ

  • Experience in automotive, mobility, or transportation-related industries
  • Knowledge of CAN bus, LIN, or other vehicle communication protocols
  • Experience with functional safety or regulatory compliance standards
  • Background working in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting production and sustaining engineering activities

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical and electronic systems for mobility vehicle products
  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and system-level architectures
  • Support integration of electrical components into vehicle platforms (e.g., motors, actuators, control modules, sensors)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering
  • Develop and execute validation and verification test plans
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during prototype and production phases
  • Support compliance with automotive and safety standards (e.g., ISO, SAE, FMVSS, etc.)
  • Assist in transitioning designs from prototype to full production
  • Document engineering designs, test results, and change records
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
