About The Position

At Maxxima, we design and develop innovative LED lighting, electrical, and safety solutions for automotive, heavy-duty truck, and consumer applications. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a hardware-focused background to support product development, electrical lab testing, circuit troubleshooting, and PCB validation for our growing product lines. This is a hands-on engineering role working onsite at our Hauppauge, NY location, centered on electrical hardware testing, circuit-level debugging, and product validation. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from prototype and testing through manufacturing and production support, while helping us continue building innovative products and a brand we’re proud of.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, product testing, or hardware validation
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuitry
  • Hands-on experience with PCB debugging, schematics, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience using standard electrical lab equipment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LED lighting, automotive electronics, or power electronics a plus
  • Exposure to embedded systems (hardware interaction only) a plus
  • Basic scripting (C, C++, Python, or LabVIEW) for test support a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support product development from prototype to production, focusing on hardware validation and circuit performance
  • Perform electrical lab testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis on product designs
  • Conduct PCB bring-up, board-level debugging, and verification testing
  • Analyze analog and digital circuit behavior to ensure performance, safety, and reliability
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators
  • Review and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Develop and improve test procedures and validation methods for electrical products
  • Document test results, findings, and corrective actions for engineering and quality teams
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve hardware issues during development
