This role focuses on designing, engineering, and consulting for natural and built assets, specifically within water and wastewater systems. Requirements

  • Solid foundation in industrial electrical design and power distribution.
  • Experience with motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), lighting systems, and equipment layout.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • EIT Certification or PE license.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Support critical systems such as power distribution, lighting, communications, security, fire detection, and control and monitoring systems throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineers to develop electrical design criteria, single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems in alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
  • Perform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software.
  • Support project managers with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and timely execution.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and other project-related travel as needed.
