•$100,000 - $150,000•Onsite

About The Position

Turion Space is developing vertically integrated hardware and software for the space economy, including DROID space vehicles and the Starfire software suite. As an Electrical Engineer on the Electrical Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, integration, and testing of electrical hardware for spacecraft buses and payload systems. You will work hands-on across development stages from concept to launch, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver flight-ready electrical systems. The role calls for technical curiosity, adaptability, and a drive to solve complex problems in support of space missions. This is a full-time, exempt position based on-site at Turion Space’s Irvine, California headquarters. The salary range is $100,000–$150,000 USD. Employees may be asked to support alternate or extended shifts and travel during peak work periods. The position may involve access to technology or software source code subject to U.S. export controls; applicants must meet the stated U.S. citizenship, immigration, or authorization requirements.

  • Understanding of analog, high-speed, and differential signal routing.
  • Experience with high-performance digital processors, FPGAs, memory chips, or network switches.
  • Experience with circuit-board design for manufacturability and electronics productization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-reliability electrical systems and PCBs for satellite devices.
  • Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot PCBs and perform root-cause analysis down to the component level.
  • Work on satellite harness definitions and fabrication processes.
  • Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and other documentation needed for design transfer to fabrication and assembly.
  • Maintain and update requirements and design documentation throughout the system life cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional groups to support project success.
