About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting test equipment for medical devices. Proficiency in LabVIEW programming is essential, and ensuring our medical devices meet rigorous quality and safety standards through robust testing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on test equipment development for medical devices.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW programming and experience with NI hardware.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, signal processing, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in LabVIEW (CLAD, CLD, or CLA).
  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and their integration with electronic test equipment.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, particularly in medical device testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test equipment for medical device verification and validation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automated test equipment.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces and ensure efficient data acquisition and analysis.
  • Implement real-time control algorithms and signal processing techniques in LabVIEW.
  • Conduct electrical and functional testing of medical devices using developed test equipment.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure all testing complies with regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines.
  • Perform regular maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair test equipment as needed.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members on the use of test equipment and LabVIEW applications.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and reliability of medical devices.
