About The Position

An electrical engineer designs, develops, and tests electrical and electronic equipment, components, and systems. They translate concepts into functioning hardware by creating schematics, building prototypes, and ensuring that all power grids, circuitry, and manufacturing specifications meet strict safety standards. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with the Project Manager, Controls Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, and will have the opportunity to work with and report to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 0-3 years of experience; recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with, or a strong desire to learn circuit simulation and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, MATLAB, or PSpice).
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex hardware or system failures.
  • Clear technical writing skills for documentation, and strong verbal communication for coordinating with contractors and cross-functional teams.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of designing both new products and revising existing products.
  • Follow products and applications from inception through customer support, seeing the entire lifecycle.
  • Create electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Build and test prototypes, analyze test results, and optimize designs for efficiency and reliability.
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations to determine system capacity, power requirements, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams—including software developers, mechanical engineers, and project managers—to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
