About The Position

ASML is seeking a hands-on Electrical Test Bench Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and support of advanced electrical test benches used for product validation, integration, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of test bench functionality, from requirements definition and electrical design through documentation, commissioning, and long-term support. This role requires strong electrical engineering fundamentals, practical laboratory experience, and the ability to design robust test infrastructure that enables efficient product development and testing. As an Electrical Engineer, you will specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test modules and tools in a multi-disciplined team, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners and suppliers. You will deliver within system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules, ensuring timely realization of solutions that contribute to competitive, achievable, and serviceable products. The Electrical Engineer provides discipline specific expertise throughout the entire product life cycle. This includes concept feasibility, new product introduction, existing product sustainment and customer facing problem resolution. The position requires highly motivated, extremely organized, and self-driven individuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a MS degree in a relevant field required.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLC’s, or motion control systems.
  • Experience with electrical cabinet design and system integration.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and risk assessment for test equipment (namely interlocked enclosures).
  • Experience supporting research, prototype, or high-tech development environments.
  • Knowledge of version control, configuration management, and engineering release processes.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW and MATLAB for test automation, data acquisition, and instrumentation control.
  • Proficiency in KiCAD for schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting PCB assemblies, including breakout boards and test adapters.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience with cable design, harness creation, connector selection, and cable assembly.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQ cards, and DMM’s.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong system-level thinking and ownership mindset.
  • Ability to independently drive complex technical tasks to completion.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, document, and manage requirements with traceability, translate them into clear specifications, and align interfaces so engineering deliverables meet intent and enable reliable downstream design, integration, and verification.
  • Ability to develop engineering concepts and solutions, make sound technical tradeoffs, resolve issues, and realize designs that meet functionality, performance, cost, compliance, and schedule constraints within system/module specifications.
  • Ability to plan and execute verification and validation, ensure qualification evidence supports release readiness, and support system/product integration by coordinating dependencies and applying disciplined configuration/traceability to deliver working, testable solutions.
  • The ability to translate strategic and technical goals into clear priorities, execution plans, and measurable outcomes, delivering committed results on time and with the right quality by taking ownership, managing trade-offs, removing obstacles, and sustaining momentum across stakeholders and dependencies.
  • The ability to understand and manage one’s own strengths, limitations, emotions, and impact on others; to actively seek and use feedback; and to adapt behaviors and decisions to improve collaboration, leadership effectiveness, and results, especially in high-pressure, ambiguous, or complex environments.
  • The ability to intentionally seek, respect, and integrate diverse perspectives and working styles to strengthen collaboration and decision quality, ensuring all voices are heard and treated equitably, and enabling inclusive execution across cross-functional and multicultural stakeholders.
  • Strengthens team effectiveness by proactively coordinating with others, maintaining open communication, inviting different perspectives, enabling healthy conflict and accountability, and helping create a trusting and inclusive environment. Supports peers through knowledge sharing and informal coaching.
  • Connects individual and team activities to broader project or organizational goals. Helps colleagues understand priorities, communicates the purpose behind decisions, and maintains focus when requirements or circumstances change.
