About The Position

This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and testing of complex electrical/electronic equipment and systems. The engineer will interpret and implement design and test requirements, perform technical analysis for subsystem components, and create documentation such as wire diagrams, drawings, and schematics. Responsibilities include ensuring logical derivation of requirements into design solutions, leading technical reviews, and collaborating with Program Managers and IPT leaders for optimal program execution. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, maintaining high ethical standards, and effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
2+ years of professional experience in a related field required
Experience and proficiency with Python and/or C++ required
Must be a US citizen
Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in a related field preferred
Additional direct experience required without degree
Background in developing, manufacturing and/or testing aircraft and/or military components preferred
Familiarity with Zuken and SolidWorks preferred

Responsibilities

Support design, implementation and/or test of complex electrical/electronic equipment and systems
Interpret and implement specific design and test requirements
Analyze and support update of technical documentation for legacy aircraft systems
Perform technical analysis for subsystem components and/or software, component validation/verification, risk analyses and assessments of component supportability and design effectiveness in the context of subsystem or other derived requirements
Apply focused or specialized knowledge to resolve design issues that have an impact to subsystem or task area
Create wire diagrams, drawings and schematics to support reverse engineering projects and technical data updates
Ensure the logical and systematic derivation of component and associated interface requirements into design solutions
Lead technical reviews and meetings, both internal and external
Work through Program Managers and IPT leaders to achieve optimum program/functional cost/technical/schedule execution
Demonstrate good communication, time management skills and a willingness to learn and grow through experience
Comply with OSHA and ESD safety protocols
Maintain high ethical/professional standards of quality, performance, demeanor, and judgment always
Collaborate, and interact professionally with supervisors and co-workers
Identify and execute required steps to bring projects to successful closure
