Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Our Airborne RF Electronics Electrical Engineering Department has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer I . We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. Location: Plano, TX or McKinney, TX with the ability to commute between both sites. What You Will Learn: Gain experience with RF and Digital Electronics that apply to Advanced Airborne Radars.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • This position requires 12 months of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) with standard engineering lab equipment, digital circuit card troubleshooting, analysis of technical data, schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts & fault isolation / troubleshooting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required at start of employment. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to understand Lua software language to troubleshoot digital hardware
  • Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
  • Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
  • Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, and tools
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience with PRISM, SAP, and CMES
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
  • Familiarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes, J-STD-001, and ISO9001/AS9100 standards

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Special Test Equipment is always operable while improving test yield
  • Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures
  • Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support the production (up to 25%).
