Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
  • Solid foundation in industrial electrical design and power distribution, including experience with motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), lighting systems, and equipment layout.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • EIT Certification or PE license
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineers to develop electrical design criteria, single-line diagrams, control schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems in alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
  • Perform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software.
  • Support project managers with scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables to ensure quality and timely execution.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and other project-related travel as needed.
