About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, and documentation of electrical systems and components for innovative, regulated medical products. This role supports cross‑functional product development efforts by applying standard engineering practices, executing structured testing, and ensuring compliance with design control and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Electrical and Software Engineering Manager and is part of the Engineering team, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will be an on‑site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Design, test, and debug electrical hardware and embedded systems under general supervision Create schematics, support PCB layout reviews, and participate in prototype builds Execute structured electrical testing and document results, design updates, and technical decisions Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle Apply design control, risk management, and documentation practices in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, including circuit design and troubleshooting
  • Hands‑on experience using EDA tools such as SPICE, Altium Designer, or equivalent software
  • Experience working with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Experience supporting product development activities in a regulated or documented design environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in medical device, diagnostics, or other regulated product development environments
  • Supporting verification, validation, or regulatory submission documentation
  • Prior experience with C or C++
