About The Position

Cargill is hiring an Electrical Engineering Specialist for its Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with ingredients and branded products. The role provides technical support and specialist knowledge for the governance of electrical engineering standards, applications, gaps, solutions, and measurements, with the goal of improving production quality, efficiency, and volume. The specialist participates in complex electrical engineering activities, enables projects, and improves organizational capabilities by providing engineering support. The position is located in Eddyville, Iowa. Relocation assistance is provided. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
At least four years of related work experience in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

Support development of approaches to identify, monitor, and implement electrical engineering standards, policies, procedures, and job aids.
Provide input to cross-functional teams selecting and implementing tools and methodologies that enable best practices.
Provide direct support and deliver services for the organization.
Support leadership in planning and implementing electrical engineering standards and deliverables in capital projects.
Execute the tactical development and delivery oversight of the vision, direction, and strategy for electrical engineering.
Identify opportunities and address gaps in electrical engineering applications by establishing auditing control mechanisms.
Propose and develop improvement recommendations, implement solutions to improve performance, and identify acceptable risk tolerance.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision and escalate only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
