The Electrical Engineer will design, wire, troubleshoot and build custom equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 10 years; or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience
  • Familiarization with PLC programming and Cad
  • Must have all basic tools
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions
  • Electrical design and troubleshooting skills
  • Good basic math skills
  • Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required
  • Ability to use computer and software as required

Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment
  • Communicate with operators and leads to diagnose problems or implement improvements
  • Verify safe operating conditions
  • Design electrical controls and drive systems
  • Quote jobs
  • Layout control panels and junction boxes
  • Wire electrical controls and systems
  • Program PLC, PC’s, HMI’s, VFD, etc.
  • Research replacement components
  • Purchase components
  • Train operators and leads on new equipment release
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis
  • Take on and complete any work that is assigned by the tool room Area/Shift leaders
