The Electrical Power Engineering Team at the Naval Reactors Facility maintains and develops electrical power infrastructure across a 90-acre facility in support of mission critical processes of the United States Navy. We are a team of talented professionals, and we are looking for a motivated, entry level engineer to build their career with us. The selected individual will have the opportunity to: Design, maintain, and repair critical electrical infrastructure including, but not limited to, switchgear, power panels, lighting systems, and backup power systems (UPS and Generator). Provide contribution in the development of electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Gather surveys, write reports, and develop documents using Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint. Manage design with National Electrical Codes (NFPA & International Code Council) and assure design documents are prepared in compliance with these codes. Provide engineering support in areas of expertise and be able to work effectively as a team player with other engineering professionals, crafts trades personnel, management, business developers, and administrative staff.
