About The Position

The Electrical Engineer supports the design and development of electrical systems for aerospace platforms and contributes to mission-critical systems and subsystems throughout the design lifecycle, from initial concepts through production, integration, and testing. The role supports projects and programs for aerial intelligence platforms and aviation systems that may include power distribution, communications, RF, and radar. The engineer works with electrical, mechanical, structural, and systems engineers, as well as manufacturing and integration teams, in a fast-paced, small-team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong experience using 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.
  • Strong background in electrical cable design and manufacturing.
  • Experience with systems integration, troubleshooting, verification and validation, and technical documentation for electrical and communication systems.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Experience performing load calculations.
  • Ability to access various areas of different aircraft types, which may involve kneeling, stooping, standing, and lifting weights.
  • Ability to perform on-aircraft surveys in confined spaces against 2D drawings.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in avionics systems and airborne navigation, communication, and imaging sensor systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with cable manufacturing processes, RF electronics design, and/or PCB design.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and subsystems for airborne ISR platforms, including power, RF, networking, and communications.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, including single-line drawings, cable assemblies, and wiring schematics.
  • Support production, integration, and testing of electrical components and schematics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop complex engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and design reviews, including internal and customer-facing reviews.
  • Perform peer reviews of electrical drawing packages to ensure high-quality work.
