About The Position

The Electrical Engineer supports the Research & Development (R&D) team in the development, validation, integration, and successful launch of electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet New Product Development (NPD) business customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or two-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years of practical and relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to navigate and modify components and assemblies within 3D CAD software.
  • Familiarity with common problem-solving techniques and tools such as A3, 8D or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vehicle electrical/HVAC/Wiper systems, software, and vehicle diagnostics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with engineers, customers, suppliers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, test and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
  • Operate CAD software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Capable of hands-on support of manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes.
  • Executes research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufactured, construction, and installation standards and specification.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operation.
  • Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s Lean System processes.
  • Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
  • Capable of electrical wiring and system problem solving and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
