The Electrical Engineer will direct and coordinate continuous improvement activities using data-driven problem-solving techniques such as 5S, Kaizens, Kanban, Problem Solving (8D / 5-Why), Six Sigma, ME360, and Gemba Walks. This role involves project management of external contractors, ensuring adherence to plant safety policies, and developing/maintaining electrical and site drawings using AutoCAD. The engineer will assist in commissioning new plant equipment and systems, lead design changes and equipment overhauls involving new or tied-in control systems, and conduct training for system operations. Responsibilities include setting up, programming, verifying, and modifying electrical controls panels, circuitry, and equipment, as well as continuously improving control systems and processes. The role requires programming, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eurotherm), assisting with training and advanced troubleshooting for Maintenance, and experience with programming HMI/SCADA software (iFix, FTView, Ignition) and servo/inverter drives (Yaskawa, TECO, Allen Bradley, etc.). Maintaining electrical skills through continual education and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, relay logic, and ladder diagrams are essential. Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct, Values, and Principles is expected, along with performing other duties as assigned by the manager.
