About The Position

Aurex is seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join our Hardware Design and Integration Team. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative hardware solutions for next-generation spacecraft, aircraft, and robotic systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and high-level problem-solving skills to bring complex, innovative ideas to life for our customers.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to work in person at our corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL.
Bachelor�s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with industry experience, or a Master�s/Ph.D. with a focus on robotic or aerial systems.
2+ years of experience in PCB design, circuit design, and hardware testing.
Proficiency in professional circuit design software (Altium Designer or KiCad), including schematic capture, layout, routing, and simulation.
Practical experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters, plus hands-on skills in soldering and assembly.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts constructively.

Nice To Haves

Experience designing for aerospace environments (vacuum and extreme temperature).
Foundational understanding of embedded software development and low-level hardware interaction.
Expertise in high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and crosstalk mitigation.
Familiarity with PCB prototyping, fabrication methods, and advanced rework/defect correction.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical architecture and design of custom hardware from concept to completion.
Design and develop PCBs using industry-standard CAD tools such as Altium.
Develop product requirements, component selection, Bill of Materials (BOMs), analysis, and schematic capture.
Conduct full product bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and qualification testing.
Collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical, environments, and manufacturing teams to deliver fully functional products.
