About The Position

The Electrical Engineer contributes to the design, development, and support of HVAC controls by executing engineering design tasks, product validation, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering activities in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical or electronic product development, manufacturing support, or related engineering roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Design experience in product development and/or manufacturing environment in a capital equipment industry.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit design, troubleshooting, and validation techniques.
  • Experience with electronics test and measurement tools (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Multimeters, etc.).
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout software.
  • Understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, PLCs, motor controls, and power electronics.
  • Experience with BOM creation, PLM systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering change management.
  • Programming knowledge (C, C++, C#, or Assembly) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support HVAC controls with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Develop release packages consisting of Bills of Material, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to understand design requirements and create design specifications.
  • Design, build, and perform proof-of-concept experiments and product validation testing.
  • Support schematic design, component selection, and PCB design reviews.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to implement product and process changes through ECNs and CARs.
  • Support product failure investigations, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure component reliability through technical evaluation, supplier engagement, and validation testing.
  • Lead and support product cost reduction, quality improvement, and component qualification projects.
  • Perform component obsolescence and End-of-Life engineering activities.
  • Support new product introduction activities from concept through production release.
  • Occasional travel to customers and suppliers is required.
