GHG Corporation provides logistical support to the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) for the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). This role involves remote operation and maintenance of facilities, vehicles, and equipment at various USAP stations and on a research vessel. Support extends to NSF-sponsored research projects, including construction and operations at stations and field camps. This position requires State Licensure as an Electrical Engineer, with a preference for Power emphasis. While Colorado licensure is preferred, any duly licensed Electrical Engineer is acceptable. The role requires 8 to 10 years of experience in general electrical designs (commercial, light industrial) including lighting, power distribution, motor sizing/controls, and code compliance. Experience with remote, cold-weather designs, particularly in Power Generation and Distribution and MV/LV design for various buildings and support facilities, is also necessary. The primary function is to provide coverage for the Program Electrical Engineer until a permanent employee is onboarded, making this a temporary contract position (not anticipated to exceed 6 months). This is a critical role within the Engineering Support Team, requiring competent, licensed design professionals.
