About The Position

The Electrical Engineer position is a high-travel, field-based role designed to support Sungrow’s Center of Expertise (COE) and Training Center. This is a development-focused position with strong potential for growth. Engineers will initially support project sites alongside senior COE staff and gradually transition into core technical or training roles depending on individual performance. This is a dynamic position reporting to the Training Center Manager and is intended for high-potential individuals with technical aptitude and a passion for continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or power electronics engineering.
  • 2+ years experience with Solar industry, battery industry, or power electronics experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in a dynamic, field-based environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a commitment to professional development.
  • Technical problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Self-starter, strong initiatives and an excellent communicator.
  • System and product level mindset.
  • Organization, detailed-oriented nature and strong initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Travel with COE engineers to perform on-site troubleshooting and commissioning for BESS, PV, HVAC, and LCU equipment.
  • Conduct system diagnostics and corrective actions to resolve field failures.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between field operations and the Training Center.
  • Collect, document, and report site issues and technical data to support internal training and R&D collaboration.
  • Support the development of internal training materials based on field experience.
  • Demonstrate quick learning ability in understanding parts, systems, and equipment.
  • May participate in internal training sessions and assist in training delivery as needed.
  • Collaborate with COE engineers, Service Managers, and technical teams to ensure stable project operations and knowledge transfer.
  • Transition to a permanent role within the Training Center or COE based on performance and organizational need.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated annual base salary for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000 This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base salary offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
