Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree (for Electrical Engineer level).
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD (for Principal Engineer Electrical level).
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Comfortable with electrical and/or power-systems design, electrical analysis, cable-harness design, and/or distribution boxes.
Knowledgeable with line loss, derating, bent pin, power load, and/or signal/power integrity analysis
Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience preparing technical reports, specifications, and presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
Comfortable with understanding industry codes, standards, specifications, and mil-specs.
Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems.
Experience creating wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) documents.
Strong understanding of cable construction, materials, and performance characteristics (e.g., voltage rating, current carrying capacity, shielding)
Knowledgeable of IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Proficiency with CAD/ECAD tools for cable design (Siemens Capital).
Ability to perform cable sizing, voltage drop, and ampacity calculations using analytical methods or software.
Experience managing design revisions, change orders, and interfacing with cross functional teams.
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting.
Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities.

Responsibilities

Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings
Support formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design/analysis and other integration teams.
Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.
Conduct electrical analysis and/or support LRU electrical designs
Develop Product Definition Packages (PDPs)/Analysis Data Packages (ADPs) and take them through the full review and release process.
Review engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies
May perform research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more.
Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints.
