About The Position

BCES Global is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to join their engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who is looking to expand their technical depth while contributing to standards development and continuous improvement within a growing organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally within a consulting or engineering firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of power systems analysis
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems
  • Strong knowledge of arc flash and coordination studies
  • Experience conducting power quality assessments and investigations
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and maintenance practices
  • An interest in developing and improving engineering processes and documentation within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, SKM, and/or EasyPower
  • P.Eng. designation or working toward licensure

Responsibilities

  • Perform arc flash studies, coordination studies, and other power system analyses for commercial and industrial facilities
  • Develop power system models and electrical designs for new installations, upgrades, and system improvements
  • Support and complete power quality investigations, including data analysis and technical reporting
  • Review engineering calculations and studies as part of peer review and quality control, providing feedback and best practices
  • Assist in developing, improving, and applying engineering standards, tools, and SOPs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and technical delivery
  • Collaborate closely with field teams to ensure engineering work aligns with testing, commissioning, and maintenance realities
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical and system‑performance issues alongside senior engineers and field staff
