About The Position

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking bright Electrical Engineers interested in designing and building next-generation compute, sensor, and other custom electrical hardware components for autonomous and AI-driven vehicles, trucks, and industrial equipment. Our electrical engineers work across the full hardware lifecycle, from schematic design and PCB layout to bring-up, validation, and production support. They collaborate closely with software, firmware, and mechanical teams to ship reliable systems into production vehicle programs. The role involves designing and reviewing schematics and PCB layouts, supporting hardware bring-up and debug, developing and executing test plans, integrating hardware with embedded systems, working with vendors and manufacturers, and contributing to hardware documentation.

Requirements

  • BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
  • Strong fundamentals in circuit design, digital/analog electronics, and PCB layout
  • Graduating by December 2026
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) for hardware debug and validation
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware specifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high-speed digital design, power electronics, or RF/sensor interfaces
  • Familiarity with communication protocols relevant to vehicle systems (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C)
  • Exposure to compliance/EMC testing or DFM/DFT processes
  • Prior internship or project experience with automotive, robotics, or embedded hardware

Responsibilities

  • Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for compute, sensor, and interface hardware
  • Support hardware bring-up and debug, including board-level and component-level troubleshooting
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware with embedded systems and validate end-to-end functionality
  • Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to support prototyping, DFM/DFT reviews, and production ramp
  • Contribute to hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports
