About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. The Intelligence Systems team specifically works within the Intelligence Community (IC) to understand requirements, shape concepts of operation, and deliver critical capabilities. As the Manager of Manufacturing Test Engineering, this role involves strategic oversight and tactical management of production systems for high-volume products, ensuring rigorous testing protocols, consistent product quality, and fulfillment of manufacturing test throughput requirements. The position requires an innovative approach to complex testing challenges, focusing on scalability, automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics. As an Electrical Engineer in the Manufacturing organization, you will design and build complex systems and PCBA platforms for testing products. This involves data acquisition and physical layer interfaces using FPGA, MCU, and off-the-shelf equipment to test systems to stringent standards and ensure high-quality product shipments. You will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary design team, manage requirements, capture custom circuits, and design complex assemblies and harnesses. You will also work with firmware engineers on board support packages for embedded Linux and MCU RTOS platforms. This role demands creative problem-solving for testing challenges and continuous improvement in automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on product designs that have gone to manufacturing.
Experience with Professional Electronics Design packages (Altium, Cadence, PADs, etc.) for schematic capture and layout.
Expertise in PCBA Design. Ability to design and fabricate your own designs, or guide contract manufacturing resources.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.
Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems and releasing designs for production.
Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with scripting tools Python for configuration and automation of setup tasks.
Familiarity with FPGA PCBA platforms - RTL, design synthesis, and bare-metal coding.
Master’s of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Build things that test things.
Design Circuits and Schematics that will be built into test automation platforms.
Integrate your designs into Anduril’s PDM systems, following the same process for component design and release as product design teams.
Design and source PCB Assemblies with varying complexity, including FPGA-based data acquisition boards, MCU platform data interfaces, breakout boards, wiring harnesses, or peripheral modules.
Architect and source circuit board test fixtures, integrating your designs with internally developed and off-the-shelf data acquisition equipment.
Build internal library for test circuit for data acquisition, leverage your expertise for DFM / DFT.
Bring up, Debug, and Characterize circuits, low speed interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.) and high speed signals (RF, memory, USB).
