About The Position

This role is for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer in Markham/Kincardine, with experience in the nuclear industry, to assist in OPG and Bruce Power Projects. The engineer will be responsible for upholding Worley’s standards for safety and technical excellence and will be part of a growing team involved in the transformation of Ontario’s Nuclear fleet, working on critical, ambitious clean energy programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Electrical design is required.
  • Experience with Nuclear is considered necessary.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of use of appropriate nuclear codes and standards.
  • Good time management skills and demonstrated capability to interface effectively with customers.
  • Required specialized experience in nuclear industry.
  • Minimum Five (5) years of direct engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements is an asset.
  • P. Eng (Ontario) designation preferred or to be able to register.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Design Change Notice Packages for Electrical modifications, address design related field issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including technical specifications, data sheets, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Connection Wiring Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams.
  • Provide active support to field issues and Field Initiated Changes and facilitate a positive outcome with construction teams.
  • Knowledge of MCC, Power system design.
  • Interface with construction/procurement partners and utility stakeholders, throughout the lifecycle of the design project.
