Electrical Engineer, Journeyman
About The Position
KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Electrical Engineer, Journeyman, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position is onsite in Newport, Rhode Island. Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers’ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices. This position will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities.
Requirements
- Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills

- Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology
- Experience with cable block diagrams, cable run sheets, and cable fabrication drawings.
- Experience using MATLAB
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- 3 years of relevant professional experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to complete the full background investigation.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules.
- Test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
